This is probably the first time I've used colored pencils in roughly 4-5 years...looking at it, I think I haven't quite lost my touch...yet. Anyways, this is, more or less, practice for the upcoming contest held by This piece took roughly 4-5 hours in total for the whole process. Let's see, first I drew Phoenix, then I started drawing fire around her. Then I decided to start drawing more fire around her and I just kept on adding more and more until I got this nifty idea to start filling in the body of the firebird/Phoenix. You can kinda see the eyes and beak... Anyways, after that, I colored it in with colored pencils. No, I didn't really have the nice Prismacolors that alot of people seem to raving about it. I used "Prang" instead...which I think is a pretty nice brand too. Umm...after that, scanned and did a SLIGHT edit with Photoshop (fixed the Curves and Colors a bit). Also smudged out the eges of the firebird to show the way fire moves. After that, signed and there ya have it. Hope you like it, For Wolverine, goto [link] Dark Phoenix is copyrighted by Marvel Comics. |

It really is Gorgeous.
The Colors are done perfectly.
And the line work is very crisp and to the Point.
But yet very detailed in the Hair and Flames.
Also, The expression is pretty Cute.
And What shows of the anatomy looks Great.
Good Work.
