Artist's Comments

This is my tutorial to draw a mecha/ninja.

In it, I discuss topics for EVERY single step along the way as well as a pretty indepth look into how I go about drawing this piece. This piece took about 3 hours in total. Sorry for the long load...but, it's QUITE big...

I hope you guys like...

Totally awesome dude. Your shading is immense. Great to see how you built it up.

Gotta second that, your shading is the shit. How long did that take you to make? the drawing that is not the tutorial (i know those are a pain in the arse to put together).

good work. aside from the quality of some of the images, no crits. (but you disclaimed that, so no biggie). good shading job, and i like the pose and character :)

It's the first mecha tutorial I've seen, actually. Interesting! It seems to me like you missed one important thing: how do you come up with the design? I couldn't do all the edges and detalis and keep it looking realistic and nice. Especially with the fingers and things like that (that are supposed to move in a certain way).
:iconjtran218:
Actually, I kinda implied basic human anatomical structure...sorry if I forgot to mention it.
:iconjtran218:
The drawing, I believe was about 3 hours...the tutorial probably around 2 hours...
